Policy is hard. Dealing with big problems is hard. But Joe Biden is doing it. Bringing together smart concerned people to solve these problems without asking “what’s in it for me”. is what he has done.
There was a time when both parties were able to work together to make government work.
But the GOP has given up.
Just two days ago the GOP scuttled a bill to pay for border security and Ukraine financing. Why? Because it would make Democrats look good. Because Trump said so.
It’s not ok. We need progress. We need healthcare, we need to not have two thirds of Americans living paycheck to paycheck. But the GOP continues to scream for tax cuts. And what has it gotten us in havel a century? A wealth gap expanding faster and faster.
Reaganomics started this downfall, letting in disinformation machines like FOX news, leading to a generation of misinformed faux “conservatives” who are really authoritarian, driven by the half-truths of their “news” programs.
Now we find out that Americans, once the tallest people on the planet are now stunted. Greed and corporate dictation of our policies has hobbled us.
There are two people in the race for the Presidency. One offers nothing of value and has 91 chances to be convicted of a felony. The other has been delivering on his promises to lift us up fighting the greed, the Reaganomics, the corporations.
We have to make a choice. We need to help others make that choice. Never let delusion stand as the last word.
The election is in 245 days. That’s the maximum number of days you have to make a difference. There’s early voting. There’s mail-in ballots. Educate yourself on the stats, on Biden’s record.
