Third Supreme Court push to curb mail ballots
The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court for the third time to let new limits on mail ballots take effect.
It filed another emergency appeal to rush it.
This puts your vote at risk.
When rules change late, people get confused and some votes do not get counted. Ballots mailed under old rules can get tossed. That is the point.
Who gets hit? People who rely on voting by mail because they cannot stand in long lines or get time off work. Folks far from a polling place. Family caregivers. Service members away from home.
None of this solves daily problems. It just narrows who gets heard.
Earlier bids did not go through, so the administration is back again. This is a choice.
Three tries in a row point to a plan to change voting rules right before an election and to make regular voters guess at them. When people guess, some votes do not count.
You do not have to be a Democrat to see this is wrong. If you believe every lawful vote should count, this is your stand.
In 2026, choose leaders who will stop changing voting rules late and respect your vote. If a party keeps trying to keep you from voting, take away its power to do it.
They will buy a lot of ads. You have a ballot. Use it.
Your vote is your say. Protect it in 2026.
- Make your voting plan early and share it with two neighbors
- Ask your local election office about mail ballot rules and deadlines
- Send this to one friend who plans to vote by mail
- Check your voter registration at Vote.gov
Countdown
