Courts keep reviving Missouri’s GOP map. Voters lose power.

A federal judge ordered Missouri to use a GOP-favored U.S. House map hours after the Supreme Court declined to hear the case.

Then, as Politico reports, an appeals court brought a Republican-drawn map back to life even after the Court rejected it twice.

Courts keep putting the same partisan lines back in place. Here is the cost.

When maps flip in and out of use, people do not know which district they live in, who will answer their call, or whether their community gets split to weaken its vote.

This process picks winners and is not neutral.

Safe seats get safer. Competitive seats get carved up. Your vote should be worth the same as your neighbor’s. A court process that keeps reviving one side’s map makes that harder, and people stop trusting that rules apply to everyone.

You do not have to be a Democrat to see the problem. You only need fair, stable lines drawn to serve voters, not a party.

If you want this to stop, remove the power that keeps producing it. In 2026, choose leaders who will end rigged maps and back clear, consistent rules so every community counts.

The rules should serve voters every time, not change to suit a party.

  • Share this with one Missourian who thinks the maps are settled
  • Ask your local election office which district map they are using and when it was set
  • Vote in 2026 to replace the officials who greenlighted these partisan lines
  • Check your voter registration at Vote.gov
