Ballots are out. Republicans still tried to change the map.

Missouri has already printed and mailed ballots. Absentee and military voting is underway.

Republican mapmakers still pushed a new congressional map. Courts keep blocking it.

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected the GOP-backed map for the third time this month. The justices said changing maps this late would cause electoral chaos. The state must use the districts drawn after the 2020 census for this election.

Three tries. Blocked again.

Why keep pushing it? Republicans hoped the 2025 map would help them grab another U.S. House seat. They already hold six of Missouri’s eight seats and wanted a path to a seventh.

The plan reshaped the 5th District around Kansas City and removed parts of the city from the district. Former President Donald Trump backed the plan and blasted the Court after it was shut down again.

The Missouri Supreme Court also stepped in. It ruled that a citizen referendum on the map is valid and said the new lines cannot take effect unless voters approve them. This fight has already spun off at least 16 lawsuits.

Your district should be decided by fair rules, not by who can force a new map through a court at the last minute after ballots are already out.

No one has to sign up for this. Say no to forced maps and last-minute power plays.
