Missouri’s map fight isn’t free. You’re footing the bill while they chase a 7th seat.

The U.S. Supreme Court blocked Missouri’s new GOP congressional map for the third time, warning that switching maps now would cause “electoral chaos” and noting that ballots using the 2022 map are already printed and mailed.

You can be conservative and still call this what it is.

This fight has spawned at least 16 lawsuits in state and federal courts.

Public time and money poured into court fights. Election officials said it was “practically impossible” to switch to the 2025 map at this late stage.

Days ago we reported Republicans tried to redraw Missouri’s map to lock in more power.

Taxpayers fund the fight.

Republicans already hold six of Missouri’s eight U.S. House seats and pushed this map to open the door to a seventh.

The plan also reshaped the 5th District, removing parts of Kansas City from the seat held by Representative Emanuel Cleaver.

Trump blasted the rulings, and Governor Mike Kehoe called the outcome disappointing, even as the state follows the Court’s order.

Missourians pushed to be heard.

People Not Politicians gathered signatures for a statewide referendum, the Secretary of State tried to block it, and the Missouri Supreme Court said the petition was legal, sufficient, and timely.

The court said the new map cannot take effect unless voters approve it.

Leaders chased party power, not public service.

While they chase power, you pay for lawyers and delays, not work on roads, schools, and local care.

If you lean right and feel burned by this, you are not alone.

You do not have to switch parties to reject politicians who redraw lines to keep power and make you pay for it.

The Court pressed pause. Taxpayers are still paying for the legal fights.

  • Ask your county election office what this map fight has cost in time and resources
  • Tell your state rep you want leaders focused on services, not lawsuits over lines
  • Vote in 2026 to replace officials who moved district lines to hold power instead of listening to you
  • Check your voter registration at Vote.gov
