Birthright ruling, Alito chatter, and a captured Court
The Supreme Court’s birthright ruling just set off GOP outrage and even talk of changing the Constitution. That’s not normal judicial calm. That’s raw power shaping politics first.
Now comes fresh chatter: if Justice Samuel Alito times a retirement, it could lock in the current majority. That’s not rumor for sport. It’s a warning about control.
Because that’s how capture works. The bench picks its future to protect its past.
Look down the pipeline. Since 2025, 90 percent of Trump’s confirmed judges have been white, nearly three-quarters are men, and some wouldn’t even say he lost 2020—all for lifetime seats. Only one of the first 40 was a woman of color. None were openly LGBTQ. That’s not balance. That’s a filter.
And we feel the outcomes. The Court recently gutted parts of the Voting Rights Act, risking fewer Black voices in Congress. Its 2023 college ruling unraveled affirmative action and Black enrollment fell at many elite schools. Your vote, your kid’s future, your town’s power—shrinking.
This is court capture.
Birthright. Voting maps. Schools. Workplace rules. All get sorted by a bloc that keeps tilting the same way.
You don’t have to be a Democrat to see the risk. You only have to want a fair court and a country where the rules aren’t prewritten by one faction.
2026 is the only check left that you control. Fire the party that built this pipeline. Hire people who will restore ethics, widen the bench, and protect voting power.
Treat 2026 like emergency maintenance for the republic.
