The elections are in 170 days. Will you make sure that the illegitimate candidate and his failing GOP are swept out?
On one hand we’ve got the current Administration, the Biden Administration and the Democratic Party that have been representing all Americans, fighting for lower drug prices, getting Americans better health insurance, getting Americans internet service, upgrading our infrastructure, facing very tough challenges with circumspection and compromise. They are fighting corporations, recouping billions from rich tax cheats, enforcing due process and equal protection for the Rule of Law.
On the other hand is the GOP and their cheating, nationalist, insurrectionist, theocratic, authoritarian, who is constitutionally ineligible from holding office. They are using fear and bullying to take power. These are not new, but are the tools of the authoritarian strategy to instill a Rule of Fear. Dictators across the world operate this way. It’s how they think. They blame the Biden Administration as if they’re doing the same thing. They’re not. It’s projection. Part of the unfortunate mentality of many Americans who have been fed half truths for too long. “Do it to them before they do it to you.”
This is not what Democrats believe is right for the people. They believe that Government is the force that protects Americans from those that can take advantage of them. That with our Constitution, government must take a role in fairness, equality, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. And to Democrats, that means lifting everybody up to become contributing members of society, not letting corporations fleece them or compromise them or monopolize.
Regulations and competition are NOT incompatible. If everybody is put on the same playing field with the same rules and enforcement you have competition. That’s the way your favorite sports work. That’s the way the Superbowl worked. Is punching a player generally allowed? No.
Yet somehow in politics, rules of fairness and safety and protecting the public are fought tooth and nail by the new “conservatives”. This is not how a nation survives, with 50% of the public hobbled by debt dis-informed by media, disconnected from success. That’s not the American Dream. The “free market” has created centibillionaires. The wealth gap continues to widen.
The choice is clear, you have a responsibility to make sure Democracy prevails. Bote the GOP out. And since the SCOTUS is likely to find a spine and do what’s right by barring even an Elected Trump from holding office. It’s up to the voters to landslide.
