The people who wrote the 14th Amendment lived through the Civil War. They wanted the Constitution to AUTOMATICALLY PROTECT ITSELF from another one.
Trump is ineligible from holding office whether the SCOTUS agrees or not.
Even if he gets ELECTED, he is still ineligible. Only a two thirds majority vote of Congress will “remove the disability”. Period.
If the GOP supports this insurrectionist, they are shameful and gambling on the spinelessness of the SCOTUS. It’s a good bet.
With Trump and his violent intolerant deluded menacing horde lobbing death threats around and terrorizing Americans, the Rule of Fear is supplanting the Rule of Law in this nation. All your legal chatter is this meaningless. The SCOTUS is afraid too. They will side with fear.
But the American public knows and saw what happened beyond all the rationalizations. And we will be the final barrier to letting authoritarians and fear take over America.
The GOP has proven they are the party of Fear and irrationality. This means they’re not an American political party at all…. They have joined in the insurrection and shouldn’t be allowed to hold office.
The American public will be tested this November. Inauguration is in 338 days. Will it spell the end of America making the United States the recipient of the Darwin Award?
No. While nations all over the world have fallen victim to authoritarian drivel, we shall not let history repeat itself here.

Only Democrats represent America sincerely. The Biden administration has many accomplishments that proves this. The GOP just killed the border bill. The choice is obvious.
