They Cut Your Groceries, Then Call It “Fiscal”

House Republicans broke faith with your family budget. While your grocery bill, rent, and power costs climb, they voted to cut food help for moms and kids and moved to squeeze affordable housing. That is not leadership. That is taking from the kitchen table.

They chose donors over your grocery bill.

The House just passed a Republican spending bill, 213–210, that trims the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)—the basic fruit and veggie benefit that helps pregnant women and young kids eat real food. Their plan strips about $200 million from those produce vouchers and even fails to guarantee full benefits for people who qualify. At the same time, it slashes rural water and energy programs, the very things that keep utility bills in check and small towns alive. And while families fight higher costs, Republicans are also taking aim at affordable housing, drawing fire from a Harlem congressman who called out those cuts. Less help for groceries. Less help for housing. Higher bills for you.

You do not have to be a Democrat to reject this. Vote out the people who made your life more expensive. Vote like constitutional repair depends on it.
