Court’s Captured Image Erodes Trust

The Supreme Court is drifting off course. If you believe in limited power and equal rules, you can see it. A court that looks captured cannot command trust.

When power protects its own, the rest of us are left exposed.

This week, Donald Trump asked the Supreme Court to erase the $83 million verdict against him in the E. Jean Carroll case, and the Justice Department even asked to step in and swap the United States in as the defendant, according to the Washington Post. The Post has already asked the right question about this Court: how far will it go in expanding presidential power? At the same time, CNN reported that Trump hyped companies on his social site days after buying their stocks. That one-two punch — private gain and public shield — tells you who wins and who pays. No one should be untouchable.

If you want limits back, vote to check this Court by ending Republican power in 2026. Treat 2026 like emergency maintenance for the republic. You do not have to be a Democrat.
