They’re stalling the tax-cut report. Don’t buy the spin.

You are being asked to vote without seeing who the 2025 tax cuts helped. Politico reports the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) data that shows which income groups took which breaks was due in July, updated in September, and is still not out weeks before the midterms.

The IRS says it is waiting on Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to approve the figures, and a former national taxpayer advocate says officials are “hiding stuff” that does not match their sales pitch, according to Raw Story and Common Dreams. A former top IRS official told Politico the IRS, not Treasury, decides when to publish, and called the hold unusual, as reported by The New Republic.

Without those numbers, families can’t check if the new breaks for overtime and tipped income helped them more than the wealthy.

They are keeping the numbers from you.

Here is what we do know. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) found that from 2026 to 2034, households at the bottom lose and the middle and top gain. The Associated Press (AP), summarizing those figures, reported the poorest 10 percent lose about $1,200 a year because of cuts to food aid, while the richest 10 percent gain about $13,600 from the tax cuts. That is rent money. That is groceries.

You don’t have to be a Democrat to want straight numbers before you vote. The Trump administration and congressional Republicans are asking you to trust a story while they withhold the report.

Retire the Republicans who hide the data.

Voters deserve the full numbers before they choose who runs the country.

  • Call your House member and ask when IRS tax-cut data for your income group will be released
  • Share the CBO/AP figures with a neighbor who thinks everyone won equally
  • Vote in 2026 to replace the officials who kept these numbers from you
  • Check your voter registration at Vote.gov

Countdown
