Clock’s ticking: Your money protects Trump, not you
Your tax dollars are paying for TV ads pushing Trump’s policies. When the Senate moved to bar taxpayer funding, a Republican senator blocked it. The campaign-style spots kept running.
Government power now serves one man, not you.
Sen. Mike Lee blocked a bipartisan bill to stop Trump from demolishing the John F. Kennedy Center, a national landmark. The bill would have set a clear limit on tearing down presidential memorials. In court, the Trump administration tried to cut off funding for the consumer protection agency that fights scams and junk fees. A judge called that a “transparent” partisan move, and the court upheld the agency’s funding. Even some Republicans, including Senate Majority Leader John Thune, said the government should not be paying for those ads in the first place. Your money is being used to protect their power.
You do not have to change parties to draw a line. Retire the officials who use public office to protect one man instead of serving taxpayers.
- Call your senators and say you oppose taxpayer-funded political ads and any effort to gut the consumer watchdog.
- Ask your local arts groups to speak out against demolishing the Kennedy Center or any presidential memorial.
- Vote in 2026 to replace the officials who misuse your dollars for politics.
- Check your voter registration at Vote.gov
