A dozen Republican-led states asked the justices to let Trump’s new mail voting order go forward, Courthouse News reported—a plan to build federal citizenship lists and limit which voters get mailed ballots, even though noncitizen voting is rare and a judge warned it could cause chaos. They want to pick the refs. This isn’t about better schools or cheaper groceries. It’s about power keeping power by rigging who interprets the rules and who gets to vote.
